I don't think I've ever seen a hockey game where a team scores a goal with their own goalie pulled, then score another goal with both goalies on the ice, then score another goal when the other team's goalie was pulled. All within 90 seconds.

It was a setup. The Canes got the whole region in a swoon over their heroics so no one would notice that the Hornets might hire Redick or that Maye ends up falling to the second round of the NFL draft.

or that Maye ends up falling to the second round of the NFL draft.

And it's the Panthers that draft him.

And Maye wins the starting job, Carolina trades Bryce Young to the Vikings for a pittance and he becomes an all-star in MN.

It would be good for the Panthers to have a succession of QB's on rookie deals, since they're still fighting with Matt Rhule over his buyout claim and they owe Frank Reich 36 million dollars.

Oh no, Drake Maye might actually slide down into the 2nd round! My joke scenario might actually play out!!! Ack!!

(That's Bomani Jones talking to a couple of local sports radio talk guys.)
