Where promising young quarterbacks go to hold a clipboard... Brett Favre announces his not-retirement. I love everything about Brett Favre and am glad he'll be back for another year. [more inside]
Favre is one of my favorites - you can't help but respect the way the guy plays. As Sports Guy has pointed out, he's on the decline, like the mid-90s Marino, but who cares. Stay as long as you want, Brett...

Hurray for Favre, one of my all-time favorite quarterbacks, and the Packers, a real team with a real stadium.

I'm not much of a football fan, but I've always thought Brett Favre was a class act. I think players like Warren Sapp, Joe Horn, and Randy Moss could learn a lot about attitude from his example. My main memory of him was when he played with a separated shoulder. I had a teacher who had done the same thing around the same time, and he could barely write on the blackboard, could barely hold a piece of chalk. Brett started the next Sunday. What a player.

Not a Packer fan, always a fan of Favre however. In agreement with everyone. This guy can stick around as long as he likes, he's a pleasure to watch on that field.

I have so enjoyed watching Favre for the last decade. His incredible Ironman streak, his competitiveness, and of course his ability. I love how he tries to make blocks and goes after the tackle when he throws an interception. I love how he responded years ago when he was busted and put on probation for pill popping by the NFL. He said something to the effect of "The worst thing about it is I can't have beers after the game." Anybody have any fond Brett memories?
