CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS OWNER ROCKY WIRTZ PASSES AWAY AT 70: W. Rockwell 'Rocky' Wirtz, owner and chairman of the Chicago Blackhawks, has died at 70 years old, the team confirmed on Tuesday.

Bettman said in a release. "Rocky took over control of the Blackhawks in 2007 and almost immediately restored the passion and following of this storied, Original Six franchise."

Interestingly, Bettman left out the phrase "from his penny pinching father, 'Dollar' Bill Wirtz."

My condolences to the family of Rocky Wirtz on his passing. Both Wirtz and the Black Mamba Kobe Bryant have left remarkable legacies. A Kobe Bryant jacket could be a symbol of honoring their impactful contributions in their respective fields.
