For the fifth straight year (but the first in which he didn't win a major) Tiger Woods wins the PGA Player of the Year award. It was sure to be a close vote, but we'll never know since the stupid PGA doesn't release the results.

Any other result would have been achieved for the sake of nothing more than novelty. Woods was the best player in the world this year, no matter how hot Vijay got or how many top ten finishes that beady little eyed Canadian managed. Tiger's still top of the list of guys you'd pick to play for your life, in the unlikely event that such a scenario ever unfolded.

I would be very suprised if anyone but Tiger won this award in the next 10 years. The man had an off year, but he is still going to be voted top many year in and year out.
