You are absolutely right. I will now go take a commemorative Bud Grant cold shower.
I think I overlook the Vikes because of the pleasure I once took at any shortfalls and discomforts in Fran Tarkenton's professional life.
And Super Bowl IV (pre-Tark) remains one of my favorite SB's.
At least Minnesotans got to see the Patriots lose their fifth Super Bowl in the Vikings' home stadium.

If the Bengals lose to the Niners in the Super Bowl for the third time, thereby going 0-4 in the big game and taking decades to do it, I think the Bills Mafia would feel some measure of relief.
