Compare Jimmy Garoppolo's latest injury with the first big nick he received when he was with the Patriots.
The Kiko Alonzo tackle from 2016 is strikingly similar to the recent Dolphins tackle. In fact, the Dolphins tackle is worse from a situation management standpoint. All this time in the league, and not only did Jimmy G. not learn the basics of QB injury avoidance when he was an understudy to Tom Brady, who is a master of it, he actually hasn't learned anything about the skill in general and is still making the same mistakes he was making six years ago.
Jimmy isn't injury prone, he's an injury avoidance knucklehead. I can't believe Shanahan hasn't been able to coach the bad habits out of his system. When there's no chance of escaping or extending the play, just protect the ball and go down or get out of bounds. Instead, he consistently gives defenders opportunities to injure him. If I was his position coach, I'd be out of my mind.
