Panthers are now on the hook for a portion of his salary. Why they even want an inaccurate and immobile QB with questionable leadership qualities is puzzling.
Cannot see the guy getting any playing time unless Carolina has plans to tank for a higher draft choice. The best part of the deal is they know the conditional draft pick will be a 7th rounder.

They'll be paying around $16 million all told to have Jacoby Brissett as their 2022 starter.

Panthers management needs to establish some successful top down continuity and stop collecting top of the draft castoff QB's cafeteria style.
Although, with the recent run we've had, if that's your flavor, you can pile your plate high. Goff, Wentz, Jameis, Mariota, Rosen, Trubisky.
Dan'l Jones and Tua feel like castoffs waiting to happen.
My favorite Panthers QB was Beuerlein and the way he was treated put a curse on the organization.
