SportsFilter: The Tuesday Huddle:
A place to discuss the sports stories that aren't making news, share links that aren't quite front-page material, and diagram plays on your hand. Remember to count to five Mississippi before commenting in anger.
I wish the eye count on the Cardinals' bird logo was their main problem, but alas it is not.
Note to Koach Kliff Kingsbury:
- Kyler plays backyard QB: Cards look bad, get shut out
- Kyler plays NFL pocket QB: Cards move the ball, score a few points
It's your call, dude.
Then you have a razzle dazzle play with two forward passes, as though they hadn't fully scripted it. Avoidable penalties and sloppy picks. No third down conversions. An undisciplined team with wise guy schoolboy coaching.
Note to Bucs: Cam Akers looks good and so does Beckham. The Rams D is bringing it. Be ready.

Kyler didn't have a chance because the Rams Defensive front owned the Cards O-Line. Did not matter what play they called the Rams stuffed it. Rams O-line killed the Cards as well. They could have ran the ball the entire game without throwing a pass and still won going away.
Bucs offense may have a better chance against the Rams D as they have tight ends and backs who can block for the second or 2 it takes to hit the quick screens they live off of. If they hold the ball 4 or 5 seconds on every play it's over.

It also continues to annoy me that the league schedules warmer weather playoff games during the day and colder weather games at night.
It's especially illogical when the warmer weather early games are in time zones that are further west.
I know that various reasons have been given for these scheduling decisions but still, Rrgghh.

So, no one in the Cardinals camp couldn't be arsed to just paint another eye on the bird on their helmet before the game against the Rams?
