There are probably as many Catholics in Louisiana as there are in South Bend, so no culture shock there for Brian Kelly.
The main difference is that in South Bend, Touchdown Jesus doesn't have to coexist with voodoo.
Another difference is that Kelly is trading in the Pete Buttigieg legacy level of municipal services for the Bobby Jindal legacy level of municipal services. And that will surely take some getting used to.
Ol' Bobby liked the feel of running a deficit while cutting public expenditures.
But, with the big pay hike that Coach Kelly is getting, he'll love all the tax cuts that Jindal put through during his terms as governor.

There's no reason why Luke Fickell can't continue to create a great legacy at Cincinnati, unless he just can't recruit the talent he wants or they won't pay him what a bigger program will.
He's currently getting about a third of what Kelly is going to get paid at LSU. But Kelly only has three kids to feed. Fickell has six.

If I'm Notre Dame, it's Luke Fickell or bust to replace B. Kelly. Although, I do hear great things about their current defensive coordinator and his ability to connect to recruits. So, in conclusion, college football is a land of contrasts. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
