The Lions looked sharp in their grays today. And once again they were competitive.
But the way the game ended had a definite "only in Detroit" feel to it.
- Justin Tucker's kick hits the crossbar, the Lions fans rise up in jubilation thinking they just beat the Ravens on a doink.
- The kick bounces through to win the game, the fans sag and collapse in unison, gutted by another defeat.
- Tucker and his teammates race around Ford Field in ecstasy while the PA announcer intones as though nothing has happened: "Thank you for attending today's game".
