The ruination of sporting historical precedent continues apace.
Neymar had never lost at Maracana. Messi had never won a tournament with his national team.
One bit of continuity has been preserved, however. England only plays in tournament finals when they're held at Wembley. We shall see about the triumphal part of that axiom.

I guess my eyes are spoiled at this point. Watching the Copa final, I couldn't help constantly noticing how less tended and underwhelming the Maracana turf looked in comparison to the luxurious pitches of Euro 2020.

The Copa America pitches were uniformly terrible, Beaverboard. Probably hard to avoid when you decide like 10 days ahead of the start to host the tournament in a new country.
Also, Gareth Southgate, what a maroon!

Wall to wall big matches today. Wimbledon, Euro 2020, and NBA finals.
My predictions:
- Djokovic
- England
- Milwaukee
