I watched that happen. He just collapsed. They performed CPR on him for a long time before carting him off the field. I don't think he's going to make. Tragic. My heart goes out to his family

Grasping at straws, but someone on Twitter claimed a medic gave someone a thumbs up. And Kaspher Schmeichel seemed to be giving good news to a woman in the brief glimpse of their interaction.

I really hope so. They were giving him CPR for close to 10 minutes. It didn't look good to me when they carted him off, his teammates surrounded him in banners so you couldn't see him.

And yeah, he *is* alive! Those EMTs did a hell of a job. Thank goodness for them.

I agree that for the length of CPR, I was not feeling optimistic. That is a very positive development.

Christian Eriksen's collapse during the Euro 2020 match is terrifying. Hope that he is OK.
