It was a good day insofar as that is concerned. However, all is not well in the Old North State. We are experiencing, nay, suffering through a calamity of chicken supreme tenders shortage! Is it time to panic yet?

There are a number of Bojangles outside the Carolinas that are not doing well. Call corporate HQ ASAP and tell them to shut those locations down and ship the surplus inventory to the Triangle.
Whatever you do, don't go to KFC. They done changed the recipe.

But apparently not in Canada? From what I've read, the Colonel sold his empire in the US but kept the rights for the rest of the world, so none of them changed their recipe. It's what I've read in one article, though, so who knows if that is the real story.

Not sure about Canada, but don't order KFC up here in New England, where the company doesn't think that chicken matters to people.
When the covid lockdown first hit, you couldn't get takeout anywhere. Then some places started to reopen for remote pickup and drive thru, etc.
I occasionally passed by a Popeye's (of which there are very few up here) and saw that they were taking pick up orders. Then one day I noticed that their exhaust hood wasn't on the roof but mounted on the back wall of the building.
When I couldn't take it anymore, I drove around behind the building and just sat there next to the drive thru lane with my windows down, sucking in the vapors from the fryolator. I drove home a happy, hungry man.
