He was briefly the toast of SpoFi a few years ago.
I have the feeling he might be restocking his flammables.
In an effort to stop the mediocrity being perpetuated by its football team (not to mention violations), The University of Tennessee just hired a new AD from Central Florida, Danny White, who has no experience working with a prominent, nationally known athletic department.
White in turn, quickly made his first important decision by naming Josh Heupel as the new UT head football coach. Heupel had also been at UCF and White brought him along for the ride.
Here is Heupel's three year record at UCF:
1) 12-1 with the talent that Scott Frost left behind when he got hired by Nebraska after a 13-0 season
2) 10-3 with some of the talent that Scott Frost left behind plus some new recruits
3) 6-4 with mostly his own recruits
It's hard to know why anyone thought that either of these guys was the man for the job, but at some point, Volunteer fans are going to need to be able to stop burning merchandise and find something they can believe in.
