I have no idea what the coaches see in team practices and room meetings, but my gut reaction is that it's a bit premature for the Dolphins to start Tua after their bye week.

Of course, when you have Ryan Fitzpatrick on the sideline, who is a perpetual threat to enter a game and promptly alter the universe with unconscious QB play, it makes it a bit easier to start another player in his stead.

But Fitz has shone more than stunk thus far this fall, and hasn't looked like an ongoing hindrance to the team's chances of success.

Also, if you start Tua, you lose Fitz's blocking ability and desire. If you haven't seen some of his disregard-for-personal-safety blocks, they're worth checking out.

If a team had both Fitzpatrick and Foles, I don't know who the hell would end up getting most of the snaps.
