Binge watched the Aaron Hernandez documentary over the past 2 nights. Certainly painted his whole situation as a result of a perfect storm with the effects of CTE, loss of a role model at a critical time, getting in with the wrong crowd, and concerns about sexuality. He was clearly a personality who urgently needed strong mentorship and received none once his father passed. Ultimately he made one bad choice after another with those closest to him, including the Hurricanes and Patriots organizations, doing nothing to help him even though it was clearly evident he was in dire need.

The "still living" companion tale is that of Antonio Brown, who just crossed a once unthinkable threshold: Drew Rosenhaus is seeking to sever ties with him. You need to be troubled beyond rescue or redemption for that to happen.

Hoping there is someone out there in AB's circle that can help him find direction.

/sigh All Star d-man, Dougie Hamilton, out with a broken fibula. Anyone got a replacement d-man sitting around waiting for his big chance to be a jerk?
