from the baseball history section : Early in the nineteenth century, two forms of baseball became very popular in the East. They were the Massachusetts game, also known as "town ball," and the New York game. there's too many ways to go with this....i'd say something snarky but it's wrong on so many levels. funky site, sweet link.
