The biggest name on the NHL trade deadline market moves, signs $9.5Mm x 8 year contract...and the dismantling of the Ottawa Senators seems to be complete, for now.

Vegas was in the best position cap wise of any NHL team by far. They found themselves a good hard nosed 2 way player who brings it every night and locked him up for his prime years. Great management in Vegas.
How long do you think it will be until they give him the "C" ?

He'd be a strong candidate, if Vegas ever does honour a player with the "C".
Word in Ottawa was, that had he re-signed with the Senators, he would've been named captain there.
