let's kill WEEI's idea
This stroke of total stupidity has cost them the services of a pretty good announcer, Tim Neverett. I have a tenuous connection to Mr. Neverett through his brother, BJ, who coached baseball in Nashua, NH, for many years. I suffered the wrath of BJ on one or two occasions when I first started umpiring. Tim Neverett was good at the job of describing the action while imparting a sense of the tension, or lack thereof, on the field. I actually prefer to listen to the radio broadcast while the TV is on. When an important play happens, I can easily turn to the screen. I don't need Harry from Malden bloviating about how Yaz was the greatest left fielder ever.

I like Steve Nash. I would not object to more Steve Nash in public life. That said, there is 0 reason for Steve Nash to be doing color-commentary on professional soccer games, much less a Champion's League match featuring a team he is openly rooting for. I appreciate Bleacher Report is trying to do something different by not even having a proper play-by-play guy (though Stuart Holden does a very good job of it anyway), but let's call it a failed experiment. While we are at it, let's kill WEEI's idea of "dropping the concept of a conventional radio baseball broadcast to make the call of the game sound more like a talk show."
