The White Sox and Twins honoured the Little League World Series by playing like a bunch of kid's teams.
On two separate occasions, players on the field lost track of how many outs there were:
- In the 5th inning, the Twins catcher forgot how many outs there were and started walking off the field after a strike out for only the second out of the inning.
- In the 7th inning, the Twins flied out to right field. Both the White Sox player that caught the ball and the Twins base runner think it's the third out and act that way until both players realize it is but the second out of the inning.
And, finally, these two bizarre run downs in the 8th inning.

The Nationals put Daniel Murphy on waivers and the Cubs claim him. The Cubs send a single A player and the ubiquitous player-to-be-named-later (or cash) back to the Nats.
