I love Jon Miller calling baseball. When I used to gorge on MLB Audio I sometimes listened to Giants games just for him.

I just found out that in 1978 when Miller was 26, he was hired by Texas to replace the great Dick Risenhoover who was terminally ill. The Rangers lost Miller a season later to Boston.

I was an every-night listener to Rangers games on WBAP back then at age 11. Miller imprinted himself on my brain even as I forgot he ever called the team.
