I left my wallet in El segundo....: I mean my bag of $3 million in cash. The Kobe thing has been thankfully ignored here for a while, but this story is too tempting to omit. Patrick Graber is nabbed when he reaches for the loot in a sting, set-up after he approached Bryant's security detail with an offer to off the accuser. Can this get anymore Hollywood?

*orders enchiladas* *eats them* yeah, this is getting really Coen-esque on some levels. I still think the collar-bomb was more so though.

Agreed. I expected to see Kevin Spacey lurking in the background of that coverage. I haven't heard much on that since they determined the actual collar was the best lead they had.

Raising Arizona-type Coen as in this plan is so bad its funny? Or Blood Simple-type Coen as in this thing is so off the wall it's scary? Or Big Lebowski-type Coen as in this guy must have been on something to come up with this plan? Or Millers Crossing-type Coen as in thank god everything came out in the end? Or O Brother Where art Thou-type Coen as in this story is epic?

I was actually thinking more along the lines of Fargo-type Coen where they take a pretty heinous situation and through their ability to brilliantly build characters make a movie that's dark, funny, and disturbing as all hell. YMMV, of course.

Character summary: Bumbling muscle-bound wannabe hitman, looking for a way to break into the biz, decides to tackle a high profile celebrity lawsuit by ridding the supastar baller of his little 'problem.' His creatine-filled brain fails to consider his would be employer's discretion, having already severely crippled his future earning potential and ostentatiously spending duckets on his 'sugar doll'.

The only thing we have unresolved is, how does Steve Buscemi die?

Well, in keeping with the tradition - his remains have to be smaller than ashes. Do we go Nuke? I'm not going to pay any more attention to this story - self-imposed media blackout. Just trying to save important braincells.

just trying to save important braincells. posted by WeedyMcSmokey Just wanted to highlight that. Out of love, of course.

That's what I'm saving them for.

Hudsucker Proxy-type Coens as in this whole thing is boring me to tears.

Today is the first I've heard of this, but I'm beginning to wonder if people are watching to many mob movies.
