Though the WUSA folded, the prospects for the WNBA appear more solid with a new bargaining agreement and a record-setting 22,000 fans at Game 3 of the finals this week, writes Mechelle Voepel. "Pessimism can shut up and sit down for at least a little while after this great game."

I thought the 22,000 attendance for the WNBA final was a great thing. Plus, who knew that their Rookie of the Year was the Mailman's daughter! He must be older than he lets on, eh?

billsaysthis: Karl Malone is 40 years old. I don't think he "lets on" that he's younger than this. The funny part about this is that Karl hasn't won a title in 18 seasons, but his daughter won a title in her rookie season.

Bet that's gonna make for some interesting Thanksgiving conversation. Especially if she takes Keyshawn's tack. As in if you don't have any rings, we don't have anything to discuss.

Kudos! I hope this league does well because I think it's important. It's important that inner city women feel the same as men: The only way outta here is a wicked jump shot, or slinging crack rock. Stay in school kids.
