Charles Barkley: Rick Carlisle should bench Rajon Rondo permanently.: Rondo's game 2 performance at Houston featured a first-half uncontested 8-second violation which he followed by drawing two personal fouls and a technical foul in the first 34 seconds of the third quarter. Rondo didn't see the court again and declined to speak to reporters after the game. He is widely rumored to sign a free-agent contract with the Lakers in the off-season.

I know the Lakers are desperate, but how can you watch this guy and even consider giving him a max contract at this point in his career? Sure his ceiling is high, but this kind of floor is not typical of a max contract guy.

Oh what a dream it will be to coach Kobe and Rondo on the same squad.

ESPN's Marc Stein: Mavs are ruling out Rajon Rondo indefinitely after back injury he sustained in Game 2.

So I guess Dallas will be going without his services.

Would that be because he's not coming back to the Mavs next season?

...see what I did there

Or maybe he's misplaced his spine.

Maybe he can befriend Lamar Odom out in Hollywoodland. They seem like they have some common qualities.
