Mookie Betts had himself a day yesterday, stealing a home run in center, hitting one of his own and finding time in between to become only the 11th player to steal two bases on the same play. Admittedly the replays suggested (to everyone but the umps) he may have also become the first player ever to get thrown out a two different bases on the same play.

I love it when runners burn teams that use the shift.

Especially when they do it on a big stage.

The thing I couldn't get over was that he basically did not stop at second (which is where it really looked like he ran himself out).
