The Seahawks have cut sixth round draft choice Garrett Scott after discovering during his medical that he suffers from a rare heart condition.

The team actually discovered the condition before signing Scott, then signed him to his rookie contract anyway, ensuring that he will receive his signing bonus and year's salary, totaling around $500,000.
