Time to acknowledge to the new Unofficial Men's Ice Hockey Title Belt holders, France! It's their third time holding the belt.
(I'll be updating this document at the end of the tournament.)

They play Italy in their next game, and if the Italians manage to win, it'll be their first time to hold the belt.

I was at the Jays/Angels game last night, and saw Trout hit a home run to dead center that I was sure was going to drill a hole into the wall it hit and keep going.

That dude has got some pop.

The penultimate rounds of games kick off in La Liga today, with Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo, Barcelona against Elche and Atletico Madrid at home to Malaga.

Atletico are top and are in the weird position where they know two points will definitely win them the title, but three points may not.

Explain that to me like I don't know anything about football standings, por favor.

It's a trick of the light caused by the fact that Atletico and Barcelona play each other on the final day of the season.

Right now Atleti have 88 points to Barca's 85. If both teams win tomorrow, that three point gap would be maintained 91-88. Then if Barca beat Atletico in the final game, the teams finish level on points, 91-91, and Barcelona take the title on the head-to-head tiebreak.

However, if Atleti draw tomorrow and Barca win, then they go into the final game with a one point advantage, 89-88. If they draw again, because their opponent is Barcelona, both teams get one point and Atletico take the title by a point, 90-89.

In the first scenario Atletico get three points from two games and lose on tie breakers. In the second they get two points from two games and win the title by a point.

The follow-up to the "6 Home Runs By Miguel Cabrera" is "5 Unhittable Pitches by Yu Darvish":

Have mercy on the hitter who has to guess which one is coming at him when the release point is almost identical for all of them.

I love how the laws of physics seem to stop existing halfway to the plate.
