Was Michael Pineda caught cheating: It looked brown and sticky and it was all over Michael Pineda's right throwing hand at some point during Thursday's game against the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium.
But what, exactly, was it?
Sometimes the toilet paper just isn't wide enough.

I think it would be HILARIOUSLY hypocritical if the Red Sox fans start accusing Pineda of cheating, what with the same accusations being leveled at Buchholz last year.
That's definitely pine tar, and it was suspiciously absent a couple of innings later.

I'm with Will Leitch: "Much Ado About Nothing".
I mentioned this to the producer."You don't really think Lester was cheating, do you?"
"Naw, of course not."
"So why are we doing a whole segment on it?"
He smiled and shrugged. "Gotta feed the beast, man."

Agreed with yerfatma's agreement with Leitch. The only one making a big deal out of this is the media.
