Masahiro Tanaka Headed To Yankees On 7-Year, $155M Deal

Total value including transfer is $5m less than Verlander's deal. Stunning, really.

Yankees really had no choice but to go all in on the guy. With all their question marks and holes, Passing on a potential top starter is too much of a risk. Hopefully he lives up to the hype.

I also think the Yankees may look to someone like Garza (or another of the remaining free agent starters) to fill their fifth rotation slot.

The Man Utd - Sunderland cup tie just ended with possibly the worst (and thus most hilarious) penalty shootout in the history of professional football.

Stunning, really.

As old as the Yankees are, with nothing ready in the minors, they had no choice but to go 'stunning'.

Pitching, center field, catching, shortstop, third base... it's amazing that they have nothing at all ready to even try and fill any of those positions without going outside of the organization.

This is where having a huge pay roll helps. Even if you'd rather not, you can try and make up for a badly run organization by buying up players.

That penalty shootout was designed to make England's forthcoming exit at the World Cup look good by comparison.

England will be delighted if they make it to a game requiring a penalty shoot out at this world cup.
