A post from Baseball Think Factory about Vin Scully announcing he'll be back in 2014 to do play-by-play for the Dodgers:

Vin's first game was in spring training in 1950 against the Philadelphia Athletics, managed (sort of) by Connie Mack, who I believe then was three years older than Scully is now.

That has got to be one of the more amazing bits of trivia of all time. Think about it: Two overlapping baseball careers that stretch from 1886 to 2014.
