The match fixing scandal also blew up the Canadian Soccer League:
According to CSA and CONCACAF sources, Interpol told those in attendance [at the Integrity in Sport conference] that nearly $100 million had passed through legitimate betting houses, to be placed on Canadian Soccer League matches, the past three seasons. They held the CSL up as an example of how even little out-of-the-way leagues were being targeted in a major way.

From a friend's facebook:
You guys can't really hate on Ray Lewis on the field doe. Since he's come into the league he's done nothing but buck the trend of linebackers past. Reporters and analysts have fawned over him since day one. He has had stag gering statistics and did everything he could to rack up wins. He will be deerly missed by the entire football community.

I'd have to think that even ONE dollar/euro/pound wagered on CSL results would indicate some sort of fixing going on. I live in a city that has a CSL team , and I don't think I've heard anyone talk about them.

Ya see, I knew that, just didn't make the connection. Guess because it just sounds so ridiculous, I'd forgotten about it...
