West Brom Crushes Liverpool on Premiership Opening Day: Liverpool opened the Premiership season Saturday with a 3-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion. New Liverpool skipper Brendan Rodgers watched goals by Zoltan Gera, Peter Odemwingie and Romelu Lukaku hand his squad a road loss before a Europa League qualifier Wednesday and next weekend's EPL match against Man City.
You mean that psychotic group in Boston? I'm beginning to think John Henry doesn't know what the hell he's doing with either entity.

It takes years for a system like Swansea's to be established, and a lot of it depends on finding the right players. Brendan Rodgers, if he wants to change Liverpool's style, won't do it in one pre-season.
Just looking at the Reds squad, any number of them, particularly in the back half of the field, just don't have the technique or ability to adapt to a game based on passing and close control. I don't think Steven Gerrard is part of the long term plan either. Let's see how the fans react to personnel changes like that. :-)

To be honest I thought it was just more of the same from last year with the inability to finish chances and too many soft, intercepted passes. Maybe Rodgers knows something with Assaidi and he just wasn't ready to play yesterday, otherwise he better get out ahead of Arsenal for Sahin or Dempsey.

As of this morning it is looking like Arsenal have signed Sahin, and with Alex Song off to Barca Sahin's services are needed. Nothing confirmed though.

I feel like Liverpool's ownership has been paying to much attention to their other sports properties.
