Schumi wins: in an action packed Aussie GP. The biggest surprise is that Minardi scores 2 points in the first race!

I think the biggest surprise was the fact that the race wasn't red flagged after the first corner mayhem. Poor Rubens. Schumacher's pass on Montoya was pure magic. The guy just plain doesn't make mistakes. Anyone else think Rick DeBruhl should be kicked off of the Speed Channel commentary team immediately for being such an utter boob? I never thought I'd hear myself say it, but I miss Sam Posey. He left the Formula One tour because of a battle with Parkinson's disease.

Good result for Toyota also, scoring their first point in their first race. Unfortunately, with no Speed Channel, I was reduced to following the results online, but rasf1 has a lot of people who hate DeBruhl.

Yeah everyone I've spoken to, or chatted with hates Rick DeBruhl, atleast he didn't comment during the press conference today like he did yesterday. As for the red flag, I don't get it either, it should have been stopped. Although the marshalls did clean up the track fairly quickly. I am guessing the reason it wasn't red flagged was because most of the debri was off track. Although Trulli did get a puncture due to debri. I still haven't figured out whose fault it was, from Ralf's on board cam, you can clearly see Rubens swerve into Ralf, while the other angles show Ralf misjudging it. I can't wait to hear what David Coulthard has to say. Also great passes by Schumacher and Montoya.

Would have been a bigger and better surprise if Yoong were in the points too. Hey, three points for Minardi, whoulda thunk it?!? Sadly, I think the Aussie points will have to hold the Minardi folks for, oh, five years.
