"Chelski"?: A Russian tycoon buys Chelsea FC from the assorted offshore companies of Ken Bates who, alas, stays on as Chairman. Apparently, Manchester United wasn't available.

Hmm ... wonder if that convinced Zola to quit Chelsea return to the Italian 2nd Division. Also, compare and contrast: Liverpool was an investment interest of Libyan leader (and funder of terrorists) Muammar Gaddafi's son, who already owns a stake in Juventus. Shiver. If they ever sell a piece, I'm going to have to start supporting Everton. Or Birmingham. Or maybe Wolves. Hahahahahaha.

WC, that LFC story was from months ago, do you have anything more recent on the possibility? *SHUDDER*

The Brits would never let it happen. Anyway, mini-Muammar is too busy nowadays for wheeling and dealing. He just signed two weeks ago to play for Perugia in Serie A! No. Really. (The article is real and hilarious. Oh my God. Thanks, Google News.)
