SportsFilter: The Thursday Huddle:
A place to discuss the sports stories that aren't making news, share links that aren't quite front-page material, and diagram plays on your hand. Remember to count to five Mississippi before commenting in anger.
Some NBA rule changes are being strongly considered. Please make all of these happen. Big ups for Jeff Van Gundy and Truehoop for browbeating the NBA on the subject of flopping all season long.

I think this explains the Bobcats lack of success.
WTF???
Innovative use of Twitter.
Is Twitter not an abbreviation for Terds from Twits? Idiocy demonstrated 140 characters at a time.

Presented for your enjoyment and because I cannot believe it:
"There is no sports writing out there that I enjoy as much as a good sports thread on Metafilter."
Even assuming such a creature existed . . . no.

NBA Hall of Famer Jack Twyman has passed on at the age of 78. He was a 6-time all-star with the Rochester - later Cincinnati - Royals. I remember him as a smooth and dependable scorer. He was best known for his relationship with his paralyzed teammate Maurice Stokes. When Stokes suffered a head injury that ultimately left him paralyzed, Twyman became Stokes' guardian and organized an annual charity game as a fund raiser for Stokes. The game grew into a means to raise money for needy former players.

It's like saying, "My favorite equine to ride is a rainbow unicorn," yerfatma. You can't say it would be a bad idea, strictly speaking, but you're not sure it would be worth the years of searching for one.

I think this explains the Bobcats lack of success. And this fun fan thinks reality has a Red Sox bias. Though to be fair, he also thinks umps suck, Jim Leyland sucks, Fenway sucks, pretty much everything sucks. Innovative use of Twitter.
