Delmon Young Accused of Anti-Semitic Brawl: Detroit Tigers left fielder Delmon Young was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor hate crime charge for allegedly yelling "fucking Jews!" at a yarmulke-wearing panhandler outside a New York City hotel, sparking a physical altercation with several other men at around 2 a.m. Friday. Young was "highly intoxicated," sources told the New York Post.
Is "fucking Jews" a slur or were the Jews having sex? What part of the statement was a slur anyway? I mean sometimes I say where are my fucking keys, even though I like my keys and I know they aren't fucking .
Frankly I have never seen a yamulke wearing panhandler, must be something new. Wall Street must really be hurting and the world is turning upside down, I mean when the millionare black guy is yelling at the panhandling Jew. If anything I would say this is a beautiful example of how far we have come in America. Boston Bruin fans aside.

I was actually wondering the same thing -- did the panhandler hold up a photo of Sacha Baron Cohen and Mila Kunis going at it and Young was just stating the obvious?
That's the only explanation I could come up with to cover Delmon's ass.

The I'm-antisemitic-only-because-I'm-drunk thing didn't work that well for Mel Gibson. I doubt it will work for Young.
