If the Mets don't come close to filling the place for Opening Day, they will be the laughing stock of Cleveland.
Back in the dark days of perpetually lousy teams and grim, cavernous Municipal Stadium, the Indians would typically get at least 50-60,000 people through the gate on Opening Day.
After that, the size of the crowds would go right back down to the usual 5-8,000.
