Lleyton Hewitt became the second Wimbledon champ in history to defend his title with a first-round loss, falling in four sets to the "Zagreb beanpole," 6-foot-10 unknown Ivo Karlovic. Hewitt, who is suing the ATP Tour for $1.5 million for defamation, claims someone tried to dupe him into refusing a drug test, and either lost or fired his coach, might be a tad distracted these days.

Has there ever been a greater nickname? The "Zagreb Beanpole?" Man, does THAT roll off the tongue! "Maybe it didn't matter too much to him not collecting four titles in a row at Queen's, but falling equally short in the really big one will be a bitter pill to swallow." Pat Cash wrote that, and he also called him a fiery competitor. Do fiery competitors roll over like dogs even if the tournament's not a big one? I think Hewitt is headed for a nervous breakdown.

for anybody else scratching their head: Hewitt became only the second male defending champion in Wimbledon history to lose in the first round ...

According to this article, Hewitt is heading for the loving arms of Brad Gilbert. And not a moment too soon.

OK. Before any of you say it, no I'm not drunk, and yes I realize that's Andy Roddick and not Hewitt. I get my boys mixed up sometimes.

I put tabs on my boys ... left and right.

Hewitt is about as exciting as oatmeal. Go Agassi! I'd like to see the little old man against the giant boy. That would be hella fun!
