Chris Paul trade closes curtain on ugly business of running NBA: At one point during the NBA's latest foray into an alternate universe -- and hopefully the last for a while -- David Stern said something about not wanting to get into all the gory details of "how the sausage was made."

Eric Gordon's reaction to the trade, which bummed him out: "It is kind of tough to swallow, but I'm just a basketball player. I'm not going to have any hard feelings about it."
I'm just a basketball player? The humility is strong with this one.

Good on Gordon for handling it so well. Why anyone would choose to go to the Clippers when the owner heckles his own players I will never understand.

And many alley-oops shall be had. This is going to be fun.
This is probably a better trade for the Hornets than the Laker deal but not by so much that I think the voided trade was warranted. I think that T-wolves pick is going to be late lottery at best. I don't know much about Aminu other than his draft position. Eric Gordon will be good. I'm hoping he forces a trade to the Lakers in 2013 for poetic justice.
