Tigers, Rangers Take 2-1 ALDS Leads: Nerve-wracking one-run games put the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers each one game from eliminating the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays in their American League playoffs. The Tigers won 5-4 over the Yankees in a game that matched Justin Verlander against C.C. Sabathia. Verlander struck out 11 to lead Detroit. The Rangers won 4-3 in a nailbiter that's the fourth straight playoff road win for Texas at Tropicana Field.
Delmon Young was one heck of an addition for the Tigers. That home run was huge.

I was at the Trop for this one, sitting in horrible seats under an awning in the left field corner. Rays fans were really fired up, but you could tell they expected something bad to happen. Price has never beaten Texas.
Rays fans get a bad rap, but the ones who come out are a fired-up bunch. And I've never had a bad experience as an opposing fan.
My seats weren't far from the Crawford Hole, where Longoria hit the homer that sent the Red Sox out of the playoffs. That fence is ridiculously short.
