I can envision a time in the relatively near future where every person entering a sporting event has to place their finger in a scanning device that automatically shows which persons have criminal pasts, and that those individuals will not be allowed entrance. Keep the criminal/thug element out completely, then monitor the parking lots so those without tickets aren't congregating there, getting shitfaced and looking to cause problems. Have them arrested for trespassing. There needs to be major changes enacted, because although it's a small percentage of persons responsible for this behavior, the long-term impact will be more and more law-abiding fans choosing to stay away.

Also, ban shirts, etc. That say things like "Fuck the Raiders." Just asking for confrontations.

If the Bay Area response in decrying this behavior is only to cancel games between the two teams, then they've failed miserably.

Good idea, but what happens if a team doesn't have enough players left, forfeit?
