Yankees, Sox Meet Atop AL East: The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox begin a three-game series tonight at Fenway Park with both teams 68-42 and tied for first in the AL East. All three games are broadcast nationally, with Friday's game airing on the MLB Network, Saturday's on Fox and Sunday's on ESPN. Pitching match-ups: Bartolo Colon vs. Jon Lester Friday, C.C. Sabathia vs John Lackey Saturday and Freddy Garcia vs. Josh Beckett.
That feels like a definite win for NYY. Hope the Sox can take at least 2 so I don't have to read a dozen stories about a possible choke.

Looking alot like both teams will be in the playoffs so winning this series, or the division or wildcard, isn't that huge a thing. Only thing that will matter is who wins the postseason contests.

In other news, there were 28 other teams playing in as many as 5 different divisions...
