A mascot for our Craigslist era: The Amarillo Sox are an American Association (independent) baseball team in the panhandle of Texas. They recently commissioned a new mascot costume. The results were unsatisfactory (also on MetaFilter).
Craigslist notwithstanding, I always wonder how events like this mascot aren't prevented. Seriously, what supervisor couldn't see how inappropriate the 'sock' looked prior to letting the guy appear in public?
We're not talking about some marginally suggestive look, one that a person has to really think abstractly to see.

Craigslist is lousy with dudes showing off their wang. Sorta like what this mascot is doing.

OK, now I understand. I usually just go to CL when I'm looking for livestock and farm animals.

My wife was reading this over my shoulder and read the "results were unsatisfactory" part.
Her response upon seeing the picture?
"I don't know, those results look pretty satisfactory to me."

Maybe referencing ChatRoulette makes more sense to some people?

I wasn't sure how Craigslist figured into it.
Until I saw this.
