Foul Fells Phillie Phanatic: The Phillie Phanatic was hospitalized after getting hit by a foul ball at a Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs minor league game. A foul ball hit by an Indianapolis Indians player struck Tom Burgoyne in the Phanatic's neck "the area around Burgoyne's head." He clowned around with fans afterwards but later left for the hospital.

As in the pig iron smelting process, I'm guessing, seeing it's Pennsylvania.

Seems to me that someone could have come up with a more entertaining headline on this one.

So the story could join the recent non-stop parade of intriguing news headlines.

Such as:
