Selig quashes McCourt's Fox TV Deal for Dodgers coverage : "Mr. McCourt has been provided with an expansive analysis of my reasons for rejecting this proposed transaction. Critically, the transaction is structured to facilitate the further diversion of Dodgers assets for the personal needs of Mr. McCourt. Given the magnitude of the transaction, such a diversion of assets would have the effect of mortgaging the future of the franchise to the long-term detriment of the club and its fans."
Before the decision was made, blogger Larry Behrendt laid out in detail how the McCourts used the Dodgers as their personal piggybank.

Seriously considering a pay subscription to the Boston Globe just so I can dig through the archives for every writer who pissed and moaned about McCourt getting screwed out of the Sox and some carpetbaggers buying them.

It's not often I'm on Selig's side, but this is one case I am.
One description says that the Dodgers would be throwing away $75-$100million a year in revenue by taking this deal instead of a fair market value deal.

If you start a blog about what you'd find in those records if you did that, I'd read it.
