Golden State's future looking bright with the addition of Jackson: Mark Jackson was hired as the Warriors head coach on Monday, thereby ending his commentating career that was always long on catchphrases and short on self-fulfillment.

I'll miss him too. I'll be interested to see if the things he sees during a game from the broadcast table will translate into the Warriors playing smart basketball when he's on the sideline.

Not the reaction I was expecting. Am I the only one that sees him as the NBA's Joe Morgan?

Apparently. Mark Jackson comes across as someone who knows the game well considering he was a serviceable if not great point guard and also has a great personality. As for how that will translate into his first coaching stint, we will have to wait and see.
Joe Morgan ontheotherhand took himself way too seriously and seemed like a know-it-all.

I have no idea if he will be a good coach. I just enjoyed the chemistry between him and JVG.
"him"? "he"? Neither feels quite right.

Aw no. Good for him, but I'll miss him on ABC/ ESPN. If that means more air time for Mike Breem, it's time for the SAP button.
