Dallas Stars Blow Chance to Make Playoffs: After the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Chicago Blackhawks Sunday, the Dallas Stars only needed to beat the roster-depleted Minnesota Wild to make the playoffs. They lost 5-3. "We have it right there, and we can't beat a team that's not even going to make the playoffs," said Stars forward Adam Burish. "It's the worst feeling ever."
General Manager Joe Nieuwendyk has a plan. But I think it must involve a bankruptcy like the Texas Rangers. I still cannot understand most of his moves. Cutting a coach who took the team to five playoffs in six years (and who went on to be named coach of the year with the Coyotes), and bringing in Marc Crawford? Most of the players? Ehhh.

Well, at least it's some mild consolation for them stealing our team from us back in the 90's. (Yes, I'm over it now, but schadenfreude is still fun.)

An NHL team in bankruptcy ?!?!
I can't even imagine such a thing.

Nice, I had those same thoughts Q. Any talk of this in the Minnesota media?

Not really. Nobody really considers the Stars a rival anymore. All the talk today is about Richards' firing.

That took most of the excitement out of the Wings' win over the Blackhawks.

They really choked. I blame their defense and weak goaltending (on at least one of the goals).
