Taking His Talents To... Anfield?: LeBron James and the Fenway Sports Group struck a deal which makes FSG LeBron's representative around the world. In return, LeBron received a minority ownership stake of Liverpool FC. This connection is meant to expand both Liverpool and LeBron's brands across the globe.

To be fair, the word used was devout, in the story I read. And I can certainly hope that if he switches baseball allegiances, it won't require an hour-long special. Although ESPN would probably do it.

Had I not seen this in a major daily newspaper, I would have thought it to be a rather late April Fool joke. I'm still not entirely convinced it is not.
