Pulling out just isn't manly ...: as Vijay Singh, winner of this week's PGA stop, withdraws from the Colonial after bashing Annika Sorenstam for playing in it. Singh says he promised his wife he wouldn't play if he won this week, and also has to go to a funeral. Isn't that convenient?
Ducking Annika or not, and even though I completely disagree with everything he said, you've got to give him credit for being able to go out and win a tournament in the midst of a pretty large controversy. That shows some focus.

Ufez, good point. (ESPN story praising his victory, and how his week off will help him leading up to US Open)

I'm not particularly glad he won the tournament, as I would have liked to have seen what he would have done had he been pair with Sorenstam. I agree about his focus, but what a weiner for using his wife and a dead guy for dropping out. Just say you wanted to rest up for the Open.

Yeah, Vijay looks quite ridiculous ducking Annika this weekend. Besides, he's on my fantasy team and I want him to keep playing while he's hot
