Chuck Greenberg Out as Top Rangers Exec: Chuck Greenberg, who guided a bid to win control of the Texas Rangers in bankruptcy court last year and was viewed as the driving force to lead the club, will be replaced as the club's managing general partner, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday night. Greenberg, who only had $5 million invested in the team, has reportedly been making people angry in the organization for months. "This is bad," writes the fan site Lone Star Ball. "And it is ridiculous that this sort of thing continues to dog this franchise."

Holy Eddie Stanky! The last thing the Rangers need is more management instability. Local sports gabber Randy Galloway says Nolan Ryan is now the man.
